Where the vote stands. The effort to adopt the new CC&Rs did not reach the required number of signatures by the deadline. After the annual meeting in October, at which board seats will be elected, the newly constituted board will decide how to proceed.

CC&Rs are the legally binding rules recorded against every lot in the community. They run with the land, which means they bind whoever owns the home — not just whoever signed.
